San Juan del Sur,
Nicaragua -
Working along side, Nicaraguans and members
of the international community spent the day
picking up litter at several beaches. Dr.
James Dinsmore of Stones and Waves Veterinary
Clinic, and Glenn and Nahoko Campbell of Scuba
Shack Nicaragua led the effort in organizing
hundreds of volunteers. Volunteers cleaned
up Bahia San Juand del Sur, Playas Majagual,
Maltida, Maderas, Marsella, and Bahia Nacasolo. In
the evening everyone enjoyed a festive beach
barbecue. Certificates were handed out and local
restaurants and merchants donated their time and
